One of the tools that I have found useful was eBooks. There are pros and cons, although for the digital gen, there are probably fewer cons.

I like the accessibility and having the book or reference available when needed. They are not heavy and travel anywhere a notebook or PDF reader will go. As well, the costs of production, distribution, and maintaining currency become a much smaller issue.

The con is the ability to comfortably read and take notes. Also, unless the institution has clout, these books cannot be moved from one computer to the next because of Digital Rights (DRM). However, for the digital gen, these may not be issues.

In my opinion, the greater good is with eBooks.

I have been using Odeo to record and post weekly announcements. It has worked very well for me so far.
